ACUPUNCTURE - THE SESSION

Usually one requires a minimum of half a dozen acupuncture sessions with an average of a dozen sessions, in order to have any enduring positive impact upon the condition which is being treated. Acupuncture treatments are, as a rule, weekly or fortnightly and typically last for 45-60 minutes.

Medical Qigong healing is provided at no extra charge but Chinese herbal remedies do need to be paid for separately according to their cost.

Only sterilised disposable acupuncture needles are used with the utmost care and attention for the client's sensitivity and requirements. Complete confidentiality is practiced at all times. Chaperones can accompany the client if so desired.

A cancellation policy is in operation where the client has to pay a fee if they fail to attend a booked acupuncture session or fail to give notice of cancellation less than 48 hours before their scheduled appointment.

Amadis has been a member of The British Council of Acupuncture and previous to that of The International Register of Oriental Medicine for 22 years. He has practiced privately for that duration and for 17 years within the NHS. His acupuncture practice has been based in South London since 1988 and he has taught Chinese Medicine at various colleges both in the UK and abroad.
